A Grieving Mothers Poem

On my knees, my hands folded tight.
Please God, hear my prayer,
I just can't handle this grief
I'm sinking deeper in despair

I lay awake every night
Sleep don't seldom come
I cry till I can't anymore
Then I just lay there numb

I see no peace, no hope,
No faith in tomorrow
I feel only my grief and sadnness
My heart is filled with sorrow

For everything under the sun
A reason there has to be
But any reason for taking a child
Is still unclear to me

Not a good thing came from it all
Did you not hear my crying pleas
I shouted them unto you
I begged you please please please

Matt 21:22 "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer,
believing, ye shall receive."
I believed Lord,
I believed on bended knee
I prayed harder than I ever have
You still took him from me

Did you not hear my cries
I shouted them for all to hear
Lord where were you then
When I needed you near

Today, It's been almost 8 months
It still hurts as the day he died
I can't going on living much longer
I'm a corpse with no spirit inside

I don't have good morning hugs
And no sun shining days
My world fell to darkness
When you took him away

I begged you Lord
I shouted upon bended knees
Right there in the Emergecy room
For the whole world to see

I asked you not to take him Lord
I prayed with all my might
I asked, I begged. I pleaded
I even offered my life

Help me understand the truth Lord
I need to know just why
Tell me Lord, please
Why children have to die.
