Granny Muncey

Granny Muncey and Josh,
Now there was quiet a pair.
She use to travel often
And Josh was usually there

More like children they acted
Playing board games, dice and such
Josh truly enjoyed her company
He loved her very much

Josh went daily to see her
She lived just right next door
He knew he count on her
If he was feeling bored

They shared secret walks and hush-hush talks,
Stories between the two
Josh couldn’t hide what he felt inside
Cuz Grandma always knew

When Josh went away to heaven
Grandma surely changed
Her smiles are few between
She’s never been the same

If Josh could talk to her
I know I’d hear him say
I love and miss you sweet grandma
We’ll meet again someday.

My hands once active
Now are still
The days are lengthy
And hard to fill
Memories live within my mind
The little things we did in time

I love and miss you always my sweet Grandson.
